Gr 3–5—These biographies of Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft, and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, the leader of the movement to downgrade Pluto, are solid selections. Written in readable and comprehensible language, each biography covers the subject thoroughly and offers some quirky facts (for instance, Tyson became a comic book hero in a DC graphic novel about Superman). Students will likely clamor for the Persson biography once they realize why he is famous. VERDICT Good purchases for libraries in need of technology- or science-related biography choices.—Jasmine L.
